Astro’s got that Webflow cashflow
Webflow backs Astro with $150k donation 💰
Huge news out of Webflow Conf this week: Webflow is now an official sponsor of Astro with a $150,000 donation to fund open-source maintenance and development.
On top of that, they dropped a bombshell — their upcoming AI code generation tool will run entirely on Astro. That means every AI-built site or component in Webflow will run on Astro under the hood.
Astro co-founder Fred Schott summed it up best: “That’s a lot of new Astro developers!”
This partnership puts Astro at the heart of Webflow’s AI future and brings serious funding into the project.
