Astro Solstice Festival ☀️
The planets aligned this past week to bring you the Astro Solstice Festival.
Astro Solstice Festival celebrated everything we love about Astro with live streams, community events, and a big splash of summer swag.
Here’s a recap of the highlights:
🛍 Monday: Astro kicked things off with a new look for Astro Mart, the official Astro merch store. The Summer 2025 drop is live, with festival-ready designs and new merch including bucket hats, beach towels and more!
📚 Tuesday: Two great livestreams from the learning side of Astro:
Scrimba Town Hall: Sarah Rainsberger shared her journey from Scrimba student to Astro core maintainer.
Learning Astro Panel: Chris Pennington and James Q. Quick joined Sarah for a roundtable on how people learn Astro and how they teach it.
🖼 Wednesday: A deep dive on Astro images, hosted live by Coding in Public with Matt Kane. From responsive images to image services and new optimizations, this one was packed with practical advice.
🔄 Thursday: The spotlight was on Live Content Collections, with a live demo and a detailed blog post from Matt Kane.
🔒 Friday: Security took center stage as Emanuele Stoppa walked through Astro’s new Content Security Policy features, now in experimental. Plus, the Spirit of Astro design contest kicked off.
